Nashua-Area High Schools Set for a Tightly Contested Playoff Push
Several Gate City programs enter the final stretch of the regular season within a single win of a postseason berth.
High school football coaches across the Nashua area describe an unusually tight division race heading into the final weeks of the regular season, with several programs separated by a single win in the standings and postseason seeding still very much undecided with only a handful of games remaining.
Coaches point to a deep, competitive crop of teams this year rather than any single dominant program, a shift from recent seasons when one or two schools clearly separated themselves from the rest of the division. Several programs have leaned on strong defensive units to stay competitive even in years with less experienced offensive rosters.
Athletic directors say ticket sales and attendance for the remaining regular season games have picked up noticeably as the playoff picture has tightened, a sign of the kind of local interest that a genuinely competitive division race tends to generate in communities where high school football remains a significant fall tradition.
